Is there a place to download that? Is it freeware now? Quite honestly all these ridiculous arguements on the forums where you guys are saying a 2003 game is better then a 2013 game is just idiotic. I will love the fact that with my POS xbox controller and underpowered laptop I will be able to beat you badly at this game, while your most likely using a overly complicated setup that gives you a perceived better experience for these simcades or whatever you people call them.Īnyways, for those of us that want to get into these style of games, you guys keep talking about NR2003.

I cant wait to piss you off on multiplayer. I was wondering when the Nascar redneck geeks would come out on these forums and it looks like your here. Ummm what was that you said in earlier posts? Ohhh yes, troll harder. Originally posted by SLO_Robert:Who cares why I am enjoying this game more than Papyrus games. And i have NASCAR Racing 4, NASCAR Racing 2002 and NASCAR Racing 2003. The only reasons I would recommend iRacing to someone are a.) the phenomenal netcode and multiplayer structure and b. The feeling of driving a racecar is mostly great, just as it was in the old Papyrus sims, and the multiplayer is second to none, but it also has all of the same problems those sims had.

I ran iRacing during the beta and for a year or two afterwards, and IMHO it just isn't worth the money. Once the bugs are smoothed out and the AI is tweaked a little more I'd say it's worth the price easily, especially since they're charging less than a normal AAA title goes for at launch. You can play it with a gamepad or a wheel and both feel pretty good.

The physics are more believable than Heat or the old EA Thunder/Simracing PC titles, the career mode is relatively deep (although if I have one criticism - I wish it would have a Legends/Late Models/Modifieds/Trucks/Nationwide/Cup progression to it), the AI isn't "Grand Prix 4" amazing but it's better than the old Papyrus sims, and it's fun. It's not something I'd buy for a hardcore multiplayer simracing experience, but it's a great singleplayer game. If you took Heat and upgraded it massively in every area I think you'd end up with something like NTG2013. What it really reminds me of is NASCAR Heat. I think N2003 and iRacing are poor comparisons for this game.
